MarsNote is an easy to use, lightweight note-taking application. Featuring rich text formatting of notes and a modern user interface, MarsNote is perfect for individuals who need to organise their notes efficiently.

1. Head over to the MarsNote webpage and press the 'Download Now' button.
   
2. Click any run buttons that may pop up.
3. Press the install button on the window titled 'Application Install' when it appears.
4. Wait for the install to complete.
5. Press run one last time on the window titled 'Open File' when it appears.
6. MarsNote is now installed.

MarsNote currently only runs on Microsoft Windows 7 and newer operating systems.

Absolutely. When you download MarsNote you can be sure that no personal data will leave your computer. You do not have to give MarsNote administrative privileges and it never downloads files.

The only time you need an internet connection is when you install MarsNote. After this, no internet connection is required, however this will prevent updates from being accessible.

MarsNote will automatically update on launch whenever there is an update available and you are connected to the internet.

Notes and settings will not be removed during any update processes as they are stored in a separate location.

1. Head over to control panel by pressing Windows+R and typing "Control Panel" (without quotations).
2. Click on "Programs and Features" and then "Uninstall a program".
3. Find MarsNote in the list of programs, select it and press "Uninstall/Change" at the top.
4. A window titled "MarsNote Maintenance" will appear.
5. Select "Remove the application from this computer" and hit OK.
6. MarsNote is now uninstalled from your PC. Some files, for example settings, will remain on your PC and can be deleted manually.

Notes and settings will not be removed during the uninstall process as they are stored in a separate location. This allows you to reinstall MarsNote and resume with your previous data.

Folders are the way to organise notes inside each profile. Each folder has a collection of notes.

Start by pressing the plus button at the bottom of the folders pane, then enter the name of the new folder and press 'create'.

Hover your mouse over the folder you wish to delete from the list of folders and press the trash can icon, then press 'delete'.

Hover your mouse over the folder you wish to rename from the list of folders and press the pencil icon, enter the new name of the folder and press 'rename'.
